Hi since I got this notebook its been slow and makes a grinding noise  I keep getting system error  code as posted above can you help

Is the notebook still in warranty?

 

The error code is Failure code 303 - Hard disk 1 quick test failure.

 

That would indicate a failing hard disk which would require replacement and reinstallation of the operating system to resolve the issue.

How can that be I dont even have this lap top a year do I need a new hard disk I do I just need to reformat the disk ??? and thak you for

Yes. The factory warranty is valid for one year  after the purchase date.

 

You can find all of the information you need to register it on the bottom of the notebook.

 

 An HP service Center can change the hard disk and reinstall the operating system for you.
