Hi @renault61,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I’m truly sorry to hear that your HP laptop, purchased in July 2022, is now facing serious issues that may cost up to £300 to repair. That’s understandably disappointing, especially given your long-standing loyalty to HP products.
Run HP Diagnostics:
1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4. Click Extensive Test and share the result.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
