@yinkus Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting 0ax00f4292  error.

Please perform the below steps and check.

Make sure you've got the latest driver for your camera. Here's how to check:

  1. Select Start , enter device manager, then select Device Manager from the search results.
  2. Find your camera under Cameras, Imaging devices or Sound, video and game controllers.
  3. Press and hold (or right-click) the name of your camera, and then select Properties.
  4. Select the Driver tab, select the Driver Details button, and look for a file name that includes stream.sys. If it’s there, your camera was designed before Windows 7 and you'll have to replace it with a newer camera.
  5. If you don't find a file name that includes stream.sys, try rolling back your camera driver.

Roll back the camera driver

If your camera stopped working after an update, try these steps:

  1. In Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) your camera, and then select Properties.
  2. Select the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver, and then choose Yes. (Some drivers don’t provide this option. If your driver doesn’t have Roll Back Driver available, go ahead to the next fix.)
  3. After the roll back is complete, restart your computer, and then try opening the Camera app again.
  4. If rolling back didn’t work or isn’t available, uninstall your camera driver and scan for hardware changes.

Uninstall your camera driver and scan for hardware changes

  1. In Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) your camera, and then select Properties.
  2. Select the Driver tab, select Uninstall Delete the driver software for this device, and then select OK.
  3. In Device Manager, on the Action menu, select Scan for hardware changes.
  4. Wait for it to scan and reinstall updated drivers, restart your PC, and then try opening the Camera app again.

If your camera isn't listen in Device Manager, test USB ports and run a scan

If your camera isn't found in Device Manager, first try using the camera with a different USB port on your device. If that doesn't work, try this:

  1. In Device Manager, on the Action menu, select  Scan for hardware changes.

  2. Wait for it to scan and reinstall updated drivers, restart your computer, and then try opening the Camera app again.

Hey Praveen! I get the same error but the solution you proposed did not work. Can you please guide me? Could this be a hardware issue?
