Spoiler

I have recently observed my fn key has stopped working. I am unable to access f1 to f12 key. Ideally, I was able to do it by pressing fn+ keys. for example to refresh the page in browser fn+f5 and it was working fine and by pressing f5 (without fn key) it was turning my led keyboard light.

Now with or without fn key, it is just turning on or off led keyboard light. I have checked and updated BIOS, removed keyboard driver and install updated drivers and nothing seems to work.

I am using windows 10 version 1909 . not sure what wrong happened and how I can restore fn key functionality.

You would need to determine if this is an issue ONLY with the attached keyboard or an underlying problem with the laptop.

To do this, you would need to connect an external keyboard and see if that presents the same issues.

If it does, then there is an underlying problem with the laptop.  If it does NOT, then you would need to replace the attached keyboard.
