Hi there,
I've tried to just login as I have always done for many years, by scanning my finger, which is now not being recognized. I've attempted to log in via password, and it seems I have forgotten that as well.
IIs there any way I can reset my password (I don't have a password reset disk). I do not want to reset my system, as I need the files on the computer.
Hoping someone can assist?
Thanks,
DominiqueSydney

I am sorry that happened.
You could try a Hard Reset / Forced Start - this is simply a way to force the computer to read the contents of the healthy Operating System from the disk as opposed to starting with what is in the memory.
HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start (Windows 10)
Document includes Hard Reset / Forced Reset – Step 2
Other than that, we cannot help...
Password Reset – Windows Password
