Hi. Is it possible to format and use flash disk inside hp docking station (hp elite usb-c docking station g2). The disk is protected from writing and full of unnecessary documentation.

If the disk is write protected, you should consider going to the manufacturer's website to see if they have a utility to return the flash disk to its factory delivered state.

 

A possibly viable option may be trying the solutions presented at EASUS. See the tutorial at the following link.

Otherwise, it won't matter whether you plug it into a notebook ot a docking station.  You won't be able to modify the contents of the flash drive until the write protect flag is disabled.
