hello, i want to buy a secondhand ac adapter for my compaq presario cq34 since i can't find official hp-store nearby. is there any way for me to identify the genuine ac adapter from the counterfeit without the QR code on the box?

Not really. A genuine adapter will usually have a bit more heft to it than an aftermarket...it will be made of thicker stronger plastic and will have more copper wire inside so a bit heavier but all you can really go on by looking is the presence of the logo. 

As you know, however, that can be copied.
