See pages 36-40 in the Service Manual:
Specs for your specific model say it came with a 512 gig M.2 SSD (NVME) as the storage. This model series can also accept a 2.5 inch hard drive or SSD, but if your model did not have one you would need the mounting hardware including a cable.
My suggestion is just to get an NVME M.2 SSD large enough to handle your storage needs, say a 1 TB such as this:
The HP Part numbers are listed in the Manual but storage is generic interchangeable and you do not have to buy from HP.
