Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

my Hp 15 AC 123TX laptop runs on TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100 hard disk .It has been 5 years. i have checked the health of my HDD in Crystaldiskinfo and it shows "Caution". How soon should i replace my HDD? .Also, can someone suggest me a latest upgrade (may be even an SSD) that is compatible with my laptop.

 

My display is also broken. Can someone suggest me a good replacement available in India.

You're very welcome.

 

The first thing to do is to back up any files you don't want to lose onto a portable hard drive.

 

There is no telling when the drive will fail.  Maybe today, maybe in 6 months.

 

A failing hard drive could be a reason why your notebook is not performing up to snuff.

 

Here is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

Regarding the display...unfortunately I don't know where you can get a replacement.

I would upgrade to a SSD, and I recommend this one...this is the 500 GB model if you can live with 500 GB of storage space...
