hi tech masters, am using old laptop hp compaq preserio c700 for some basic works like browsing and view videos

but i had default 120GB hard disk now i like to increse it to 320GB , my question is its possible? if yes then it will affect the speed of my laptop? please let me know. thank you in advance.

Hi,

Yes you can insert a larger drive without any problems. 2.5" Sata drive.

 

On page 41 of service manual you can see the various steps to instyall the new drive:

You will need to reinstall the OS with either recovery disks or Windows bootable media.

 

It will not affect the speed of the PC.
