I understand, it is a typical error Hp , many pages have error, in my case I have a model similar to the user (17m-bw0013dx) and when I had access to the specifications page said it was compatible with DisplayPort and power delivery, after insisting a lot with HP then changed the specification page. It was false information.

I have a question regarding the maximum RAM capacity supported by my HP ENVY 17-bw0503na. The laptop originally came with two 4GB RAM sticks (totaling 8GB). A while back, I replaced them with a single 16GB stick. Now, I’m considering purchasing another 16GB stick of the same type to reach a total of 32GB.
However, I’m unsure whether the motherboard supports 32GB of RAM or if the maximum capacity is limited to 16GB. Could you confirm if adding a second 16GB stick will work?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi:
Yes, the notebook should support 2 x 16 GB of memory.
You can run this command to see that 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) of memory is supported:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Which of these SSDs should I choose for my HP ENVY 17-bw0503na?
I’m trying to decide between two SSDs for my HP ENVY 17-bw0503na:
1. Kingston NV2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 Internal SSD 1TB M.2 2280 - SNV2S/1000G
2. SanDisk SSD Plus 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD, PCIe Gen 3, M.2 2280
I know that my laptop supports PCIe 3.0. Would it make sense to buy the PCIe 4.0 drive for future-proofing, or should I stick with the PCIe 3.0 drive, given my current system limitations?
Any advice on which would be a better option would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi:
If you plan on moving the Gen 4.0 SSD to a newer PC with a Gen 4 slot in the future, go with the Gen 4 SSD.
If not, go with the Gen 3 drive.
You may want to look into either of Gen 3.0 these drives as well:
I believe that both of these Gen 3 drives have better read/write specs than the Gen 4 drive you selected.
