This is a very good question actually because the manual says this work is for an Authorized Service Provider parts only, that implies if you did it yourself, this would void warranty when something went wrong. If nothing went wrong then no problem.

You can upgrade HDD to SSD even if you're within warranty unless you don't break anything in the process of upgrade. If something breaks due to the upgrade process, then warranty is void.
So I'll suggest you to get it done by requesting HP certified technicians. This is what I upgraded in my HP Pavilion 15 notebook.
Also make sure you create HP recovery USB using HP Recovery Manager before going in for any upgrade.

From what it looks like Yes you can replace the hard drive without voiding your warrenty but if you ever want to warrenty your computer then you are going to need to revert the computer back to its original hardware configuration.

I have provided the service manual which contains instructions on how to replace the drive.
I have also provided a link to your question about voiding the warrenty but the link that he got the info from is no longer working.
