Envy Product number T8F99AV

I have a replacement 1TB SSD upgrade disk and need to find a manual on how to remove/replace the drive.  I also need to include replacement information for both the keyboard and the battery.

Hi:

The service manual can be found at the link below.

HP ENVY Notebook 15t-as000 CTO (ENERGY STAR) Manuals | HP® Customer Support

It will have the procedures to remove and replace all of the removable components.

Can you point me to a video that shows me how to replace the keyboard on this 15-as000 HP Envy notebook.  I think that based on where it is at, I should start with that first and as I reassemble the computer replace the SSD and the battery

Please read the disassembly instructions as set forth in chapter 5 of the service manual.

All disassembly procedures begin with the removal of the bottom cover, which you must do first.

The keyboard itself is a non-removable part.

It is part of the entire top cover assembly.

Let's start over here.  I ordered a replacement SSD for this system, but once I opened up the computer, I found that I had the wrong SSD.  Apparently, all of these 15-as000 can be one of many computers.  the drive I ordered was a 2.5 inch SSD and I see on the inside that it is a PCI SSD.  SO, how do I scan the computer to find out what my actual model is?

The potential are....

as000nc, nd, ne, nf, nia, no, nq, ns, nt, nv, nx and ur.

How do I know if the system is really an "as000"?

I have looked all over the place to find out what it really is.  It is product number T8F99AV with a serial number 5CG63353VB

Below is the link to the parts list for your PC, which includes the model number.

HP PartSurfer

As you can see from the description, it is a  HP ENVY NOTEBOOK 15T-AS000 CTO.

'CTO' means 'Configured to Order,' which means that the notebooks in the CTO model series are configured by whoever orders the notebook...they get to choose from a list of available options.

It could be an individual or a retail outlet that ordered that product number to their specifications.

The service manual I provided the link to applies to your notebook.

I recommend you return the 2.5" SSD and replace the NVMe drive, unless the parts are there to easily install the 2.5" SSD.

If they are not, they will probably be very hard to find.

Chapter 3 of the service manual has the list of replaceable parts with their HP part numbers.
