Hello, when I run the mdsched.exe test, it detects a hardware problem. My computer had a RAM upgrade from 16 GB to 32 GB before it was purchased. What is the source of this problem?

Download and run memtest86+, the USB version. Latest is 7.20
That windows app tests memory inside of windows and can give errors that are not memory related. I consistently get fake memory failure if I enable the flashing motherboard RGB lighting on my gaming motherboard. memtest86 reports no errors with the light flashing, only that windows app reports an error. if I disable the RGB lighting windows reports no errors.
If memtest reports memory errors possibly you do have errors. Have you run the HP uefi diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on. . Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically. When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics. There is an updated diagnostics package Click Here Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS', Expand the '+' symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button. |
If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty and Click here for world-wide contact info
Make sure you have the latest Microsoft Windows updates and have also run the HP support assistant to check for updates.
Let me know what you find out. Do both memtest86+ and the UEFI memory diagnostics.
