Product introduced mid-2017
It is indeed broken.
It won't get better - and every time you move the computer the damage can get a lot worse very quickly.
Don't move it and do not try to close it.
Make backups of your data while you can do so.
Back up the data to anywhere other than the computer - Cloud, Network Storage, USB, "Something". Do this. Protect your most critical data first, then back up whatever else you cannot easily live without.
What else?
The repairs are possible but can be expensive. Consider the cost of repair (and time lost) against the three years of age as compared to the original purchase price.
HP can repair the machine for cost of parts and labor. Getting the work done during this hectic and crazy time can be challenging just because there are SO many people in need of help and repairs of all kinds.
This type of repair is not recommended for the home user.
That said, a local, trusted, professional, experienced technician in your region can complete the repairs. This assumes the parts can be found, of course. In other words, check your options.
