idk how much storage i had when i started but its running out pretty fast because i play games like the sims 4 and path of exile but i want to put other things on it as well

What capacity drive did your notebook come with?
If you don't know you can go to the device manager, click to expand the Disk drives device manager category and it will show the model of the SSD that HP installed.
You can then google the drive's part number.
The HP PartSurfer database lists several different individual product numbers under the general B1TY4AV product number for the model series.
The drive capacities range from 256 GB to 1 TB.
In any event, if you need more storage, you will have to replace the existing Gen 4 x 4 NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.
Theoretically there is no limit to the capacity NVMe SSD you can install as long as the drive is single-sided.
The Crucial memory/SSD report for the model series indicates that they sell NVMe SSDs up to 4 TB:
