Hi @advayushagarwal,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion laptop only has one HDMI port, you can still connect two monitors by using additional ports or adapters. Here are a few methods you can try.
- USB to HDMI Adapter: You can use a USB to HDMI adapter to add an extra HDMI port to your laptop. These adapters convert a USB port into an HDMI output, allowing you to connect another monitor.
- DisplayPort: If your laptop has a DisplayPort (sometimes labeled as DP), you can use a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter or cable to connect one of the monitors. This will leave the HDMI port available for the second monitor.
- USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 Port: If your laptop has a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, you can use a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable to connect one monitor. Similar to the DisplayPort method, this would free up the laptop's HDMI port for the second monitor.
- Docking Station: Another option is to use a docking station. Docking stations often come with multiple video outputs (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.), allowing you to connect multiple monitors through a single connection to your laptop.
- External Graphics Card (eGPU): If you need to connect multiple monitors frequently and your laptop supports it, you could consider using an external graphics card (eGPU) setup. This is more complex and might involve an investment in additional hardware, but it can provide significant display flexibility.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
