Your notebook has two memory slots and both slots are populated with 4 GB DDR4-3200 MHz memory chips.

If you want to upgrade the memory, you will have to remove both 4 GB memory chips and install larger capacity memory chips such as 2 x 8 GB or 2 x 16 GB.
You can run this command to see how much memory your notebook can support:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. After the command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
The Crucial memory report indicates your notebook should support 2 x 32 GB of memory.

HP only has the service manual for the 15-dw0000 model series available, but it should be of help to you for opening up the notebook to upgrade the memory.
There is also this service teardown video: The 15-dy0000 model series uses the same service manual as the 15-dw0000 model series.
