hey everyone. 

 

I have a new laptop hp laptop 15-db0011dx. Just got it three days ago. and it occured to me that there is no way to remove the battery because i can't find the battery compartment. 

 

how do I remove the battery on this model laptop? any info wold behelpful. 

 

I need it removed because i use this as a home computer and don't want to ruin my battery by leaving it being charged all the time.

Many of the newer model laptops do not have an easily accessed battery. With new battery and charger technology it isn't really necessary to remove the battery even when using on power adapter. The charge circuit shuts off when battery is at full capacity. I have a laptop which is almost 2 years old and used on power adapter 95% of the time. Of course all lithium batteries eventually age and must be replaced anyway (usually 2-3 yrs or after x number of discharge/recharge cycles) Using on power much of the time seems to actually extend battery life since it isn't going through constant discharge/recharge cycles.

I did not know that being plugged in cuts it off from charing circuitry. that's great to hear. thank you.
