my notebook model 15-r205nl run slow , i want to know if i can upgrade ram memory

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

 

2 x 8 GB is the max.

Hi,

As stated above you can upgrade to max 16GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM (2x8GB)

You could insert another 4GB module in the empty slot for a total of 8GB which should give a boost in performance.

 

However, what you should really do is replace the 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD such as the Samsung 860 Evo or similar.

On page 59 of service manual you can see how to replace the drive

You will then need to reinstall the OS on the SSD. This will give a great performance boost in everyday use.
