The ends are marked with "display" and "source" !!!
I rarely see information like that provided.

Yes, but you will need an adapter from the laptop's HDMI output (page 4) to the DP input on the monitor.
Get an adapter, not a display port cable.

Pin 20 problem according to Google.
Read the reviews to ensure the adapter work from the HDMI on the PC to the monitor connector. Not all DP cables and adapter are bi-directional. Do not get an adapter designed for where the Display port is on the pc and the monitor is HDMI !
