Hi @Pacifique03,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To stop HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI from running every time you turn on your PC, follow these steps.
Disable Automatic Diagnostics at Boot
Restart Your Computer: When it starts booting, repeatedly press the key to access the BIOS or boot menu. This is usually one of the following:
- Esc, F10, or F2 (depends on your HP model; the prompt usually appears on the screen).
Access Boot Options:
- From the BIOS or Startup Menu, locate the Boot Options or Diagnostic Tools menu.
Disable Automatic Diagnostics:
- Look for a setting related to HP PC Hardware Diagnostics or UEFI Diagnostics.
- Change the setting to Disabled or uncheck it if it's selected as a boot option.
Save Changes and Exit:
- Press the key to save your changes (usually F10) and exit the BIOS.
Remove or Reconfigure the Application (Optional)
Check the Installed Program:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Look for HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows or similar. If you find it, uninstall it.
Delete the UEFI Tool from the Partition (Advanced Users):
- If the tool persists in UEFI storage:
- Open Disk Management (Press Win + X > Disk Management).
- Look for a small EFI System Partition or HP_TOOLS partition.
- Mount the partition using a tool (like DiskPart) and delete the diagnostics file from the EFI folder.
Prevent Automatic Boot Sequences (Alternate)
Reset Boot Order:
- In the BIOS, make sure your primary hard drive or SSD is at the top of the Boot Order list.
- Ensure that UEFI Diagnostics is not selected as a priority boot option.
Restore Default Settings:
- If you're unsure of the settings, use the Restore Defaults option in the BIOS.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
