Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

Pavilion Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product number : Z4Q39PA#ACJ

I've been ignoring the noises (seems like something was burning, sparking... not much severe) but now my battery has stopped working (assuming) as it has been showing 73% plugged in, not charging since quite a while. Apparently my notebook shuts down immediately as I turn off AC mains and only get turned on when I reconnect it to AC. That's not the issue, i can accept that much but my main problem is -

I mainly use my notebook for gaming, so it's mostly plugged in for better performance otherwise everything lags. Now considering the situation stated above, my notebook should run entirely on AC due to battery failure but the problem is that everything still lags. Everything works fine except some stuff which requires higher power input.

Components Tests result -> Power -> AC adapter - Failed (which i highly doubt as charger and battery both can't fail at the same time out of nowhere), Battery test - Screen goes black and remains black until eternity.

Yes you can do that but the internal battery also acts as a clock battery to keep system time so keep it plugged in if you run it without battery so you aren't having to constantly reset time.

As long as that battery is in there it will impact the system. The notebook will try to charge the battery. You need to replace it. There is no way to disable it in place.

I can't afford a new battery, atleast for a month or so. Can I just unplug my battery manually (open the hatch and stuff) and run the notebook solely on AC like a desktop for the time being?

Or would that not be possible or have any probable downsides.
