My Note is HP Notebook - 15-bs637tu

Product Number: 3KM36PA#ACJ

 

My Laptop is running with 4 GB memory with its part number 862397-855 and I have another slot available in which I want to add another memory of 8 GB, If I add another one with 8 GB capacity will my machine work on 4+8 GB RAM with no issue also how do i get compatible 8 GB memory part number.

 

Please help me on this as my machine is very slow and I need to fix it ASAP, My machine is my bread & butter.

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

 

I selected the site for India, because they refer you to sites where you can buy the memory in India.

Based on your notebook's specs you would want to buy this 8 GB memory chip from the list.

 

https://www.crucial.in/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfs824a/ct13036285

 

Your PC will work just fine with a 4 GB and an 8 GB memory chip but someday you will want to replace the 4 GB chip with another 8 GB chip, so the memory runs in the higher performing dual data rate (DDR) mode.

 

When your notebook has an empty memory slot, or it has two memory chips installed of mismatched capacities (such as 8 + 4), the memory runs in the lower performing single data rate (SDR) mode.
