Hi,

Welcome to HP Support Forum, from my understanding you wish to upgrade your machine:

  1. RAM: Your machine supports 16GB max and it has two SODIMM slots - customer non-accessible/non-upgradeable
  2. HDD: Basically it supports all 7 mm/9.5 mm, SATA 2.5" hard drives. But for compatible reason, please use existing brand of current HDD.
  3. Wifi card: You machine shold support 5.0GHz already ecause it has Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (non vPRO)

More information: 2nd manual of the following link:

> i want to upgrade up to 5 tb.

An Other Person might have misread this statement, and thought that you want to update your wireless networking adapter to support communication on the 5 Gigahertz communications band.

I understand that you want to install a disk-drive with a capacity of 5000 GB. Correct?

This should be possible, if you can afford it (and also afford an external "backup" disk-drive of similar capacity).

Many "older" (say 2 or 3 years) motherboards only supported disk-drives of up to 2000 GB.

If you have a "newer" computer, you should be OK.

A hyperlink to the "manual" was posted by the Other Person.

That manual states:

Generic SSD 128 GB 2280 M2 SATA-3 Value TL

827560-027

Generic SSD 256 GB 2280 M2 PCIe 3x4SS NVMe TLC TL

847109-008

Generic SSD 512 GB 2280 M2 PCIe3x4SS NVMe TLC TL, not for products with AMD Radeon hybrid graphics

847110-007

So, you have a "next-generation" SSD (different connector pins) -- the "M.2" -- rather than the "usual" SATA interface.

See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2

It will be VERY EXPENSIVE to purchase a 5 TeraByte "M.2" SSD, if, indeed, such a device is currently manufactured.

For example, a ONE TB drive is $700 US:

https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-960-EVO-Internal-MZ-V6E1T0BW/dp/B01LXS4TY6/ref=sr_1_3/154-9472275-2219...

but you get "free shipping".  :generic:
