HP 348 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I  recently bought a refurbished HP 348 G3. I checked the serial no, it meets the specs.  But how do i know it's really Core i5 and not Core i3 or Intel pentium because some vendors do edit/change the File name so as to disguise with attractive processor specs. I need your help.

Hi,

If it is an i5, it should be an i5-6200 CPU

You can see in BIOS

Turn on the PC and repeatedly hit ESC until the startup menu appears

Press F10 to enter BIOS

you should see the CPU installed

You can see in Task Manager in Windows or download software such as CPU-Z to see the details of the CPU

You  could remove the heatsink and actually physically take a look at the CPU

On page 54 of service manual you can see the steps to do this

Hope it helps,

David

Thanks David, i checked the bios as you advised. I'm pleased to confirm that the processor is really Core i5.  May Allah bless you with more knowledge.
