I have an HP-14 CK0130TU. I saw a post here about a RAM upgrade which says I can put an 8gb 2400 in there. So I bought one but when I installed it, it doesn't boot and my capslock just blinks for 3 times. Whenever I put back my 4gb stock one, it works and boots flawlessly. I was planning to upgrade this laptop for months now and back then I remember seeing a post somewhere saying I need to remove a certain screw in there for it to boot after the upgrade. I don't know if I need to believe or I should believe it. Can someone please confirm or deny this? Thank you.

Your notebook should have supported 1 x 8 GB of memory as indicated in chapter 1 of the service manual:
What was the memory part number you installed and what was the CL speed?
This memory brand and part number should have worked in your notebook:
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT8G4SFS824A | Crucial IN
Memory is plug and play. It either works or it doesn't.
There are no BIOS settings you need to change, no special screws that have to be removed in order for the memory to work, etc.
