The laptop has 1 4 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM I ordered 2 sticks of 8GB DDR4 PC4-19200 SODIMM Single Rank From a website called memorystock that is what they recommend. I've installed them in all configurations with only the original 4gb in either slot that will allow it to boot up. When the new ram is in the pc by itself or with the original it will not boot up. The power light and fan come on and the cap lock blinks a few times slow then 3 times fast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:
The memory needs to be non-ECC., unbuffered.
What is the CL speed/timing of the memory?
Your notebook uses DDR4-2400 memory with a CL speed of 17.

The CL15 spec is your problem.
The CL15 spec is too fast for your PC, and since you can't adjust the memory timing/XMP profile in the BIOS, the PC cannot adjust to the CL15 latency, and the PC will not boot up.
I recommend you return the memory and either buy the Crucial memory that they indicate is compatible with your notebook or see if the vendor will exchange what you bought for the DDR4-2400 CL17 memory.
