I bought my hp 15-r029wm (G9D74UA#ABA) in 2015 and it was equipped with Intel Pentinum N3520 and a 4GB ram. I managed to upgade it's RAM to 8GB .Now, Is there any modern compatible CPU that I can upgrade to?Any that will support 4k content .I went through this service manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04409502 but I didn't understand anything. I just need a straight forward answer.

Hi:

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard.

In order to upgrade the processor, the motherboard would have to be replaced with one listed in the service manual that comes with a better processor, and the best graphics adapter in that model series seems to be the nVidia 820M GPU, and that does not support 4K.

You will need to buy a new notebook that supports the features you are looking for.
