who knows what my internal not occupied SSD adapter is good for? Do I buy a SATA or NVMe compatible SSD. HP got my to 5 different offices today, with no answer. I opened it and it to see the connector and it says SSD slot. Who can help?

It has Intel 8th generation processors with UMA graphics memory therefore you can add M.2 NVMe SSD drive to your machine

What is your hp 17-by0XXX machine ? Without knowing what it is we can't answer your questions. Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine

Thanks for your message and help!
I found the model number of this HP laptop 17-by0XXX : SKU 4AG07UA#ABA
The BIOS is F.62 2/8/2021 SMBIOS version 3.0
I hope this is enough to determine the connector specs.
And to see if the BIOS supports that, because I was warned to check that too.
