Hi @AW1629,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your device not powering on!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try the following steps:
Check for Signs of Power
Press the power button and check if any lights (caps lock, power button) flash or if the fan spins momentarily.
Listen for any beeps or clicking sounds.
If there is no response at all, move to the next step.
Try a Different Power Outlet & Cable
Plug the PC directly into a different wall socket (avoid power strips).
If possible, try using a different power cable (standard figure-eight power cord).
Perform a Hard Reset Again
Try a more thorough power drain:
Unplug the power cable from the PC.
Hold the power button for 15-30 seconds (instead of just 3).
Plug the power cable back in and try turning it on.
Check the Internal Connections
If you're comfortable opening the PC:
Reseat the RAM: Open the back panel, remove the RAM stick(s), then reinsert them.
Check for Loose Cables: Ensure internal power cables are firmly connected.Test with an External Monitor
Since this is an All-in-One PC, the display and system are integrated. If the screen is faulty, the PC might be on but not displaying anything.
Connect an external monitor via HDMI and see if there is a display.
Check for Power Supply Issues
If the green power light is on but the PC doesn’t respond, the power supply might not be delivering full power to the motherboard.
If you have a multimeter, check the voltage output.
If the PC is under warranty, contact HP Support for a potential power supply replacement.
Try a CMOS Reset
Sometimes, a power outage can cause BIOS corruption.
Unplug the power cable.
Open the PC, locate the CMOS battery (a small round coin cell battery).
Remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinsert it.
Plug in and try turning it on.
If none of these steps work, the motherboard or power supply unit (PSU) may have failed due to the power outage. You might need professional repair or replacement parts.
Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!
