You're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.  Sorry, scratch my whole previous response.  I edited it to say mine is missing as well.

 

I took the back off again, and what I thought was a slot down in there is actually just another plastic piece like the case.  It's some sort of physical support, but no slot. 

 

I was just ready to buy an mSATA SSD for it, because I was so sure there was a slot.  Glad I didn't.

Hi,

Have read your posts. I also installed a  SSHD because mSATA slot was missing but didn't see much difference. More RAM memory helped on the performance. From HP team the support  was poor and the laptop is not as described, very dissapointing. Replaced this laptop with DELL instead and SSD inside.
