The earliest HP Spectre x360 or HP ENVY x360 models with 8th Gen Intel Core processors began appearing in late 2017, typically using Intel Core i5-8250U or i7-8550U CPUs.

 

Earliest HP x360 Models with 8th Gen Intel CPUs:

 

1. HP Spectre x360 13t-ae000 series:

 

  • Launch: Late 2017

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8250U / i7-8550U (8th Gen, Kaby Lake R)

  • Model example: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae013dx

  • Notable: Redesigned chassis, 8th Gen U-series quad-core CPU, ultra-premium finish

 

2. HP ENVY x360 15m-bq000 series:

 

  • Launch: Also late 2017

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8250U / i7-8550U

  • Model example: HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-bq021dx

  • Notable: Mid-range pricing, larger 15.6" screen, metal body

 

These were some of the first HP 2-in-1 laptops to ship with 8th Gen "Kaby Lake Refresh" processors, which were a major step up from 7th Gen thanks to quad-core configurations in the U-series (vs. dual-core in 7th Gen).
