HP Slimline 260-a040il
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have the HP Slimline 260-a040il. It has integrated GPU. So I want to increase the VRAM upto 1024 MB from BIOS. But seems like it's a  hidden feature. So can anyone tell me what's the hidden key combo or unlock process to enter the advance BIOS ? I need to increase VRAM.

**Note: I know what I'm doing. My desktop is pretty old now. So it's my own responsibility, If I mess up anything. Please don't give me any suggestion. Thanks 🙂

OK -- so since you do not want any suggestion, I won't provide any.

Sorry, but accessing Advanced BIOS option on HP PCs is not possible.

Some OEMs lock out the advanced BIOS options to prevent customers from making changes to options that can destabilize or otherwise damage the PC -- and then send it back for repair under warranty claiming they did nothing to it.

I know only SOME of the advanced options are risky, but it's simpler to disable access to ALL advanced options than to allow/disallow on an individual option basis.

That's the course of action that HP has chosen.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately hp thinks their customers are immature and will break everything. Other manufacturer montherboards (Custom PC's) like MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, they allow tweaking on BIOS. But this branded hp desktop and laptop don't allow you to do this. They actually want you to buy a new product from them.

By the way, I'm waiting for a reply about BIOS mods, unlocking and tweaking.

No matter what happens I will surely throw my hp Slimline 260-a040il desktop to "Recycle Bin" and assemble a new PC for my own 😉
