HP Notebook - 14s-cf0070tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop won't turn on when I insert the SSD adata xpg sx6000 lite into the ssd slot. I had previously asked the cellphone customer service via Whatsapp if my laptop supported NVMe SSD, and the answer was yes. I gave up, so I sold my ssd online for half price and if it doesn't work, returns are accepted. A few days later, I asked the buyer if my ssd was working or not. The answer was working. I am looking for references on how NVME SSD works. My conclusion is that they're working using pcie lanes. So I checked it on hwinfo64 and there weren't any empty pcie lanes to use for NVME SSD. I was confused why HP CS answered that my laptop supports NVME. If so, why can't I use it? And also, why are there no PCI lanes for NVME?

Right now I'm using a Sata SATA SSD M.2

Your notebook does support PCIE NVMe SSD 2280 storage drives, but it all depends on how you try to upgrade to the device.

Just how did you try to upgrade to the new SSD?

You did not provide any details.

That image of HWInfo you provided, showed me that you did not click on the right device so you made an incorrect assumption.

You clicked on the Realtek Ethernet NIC instead of Drives!

Did you try cloning  the old one or use an HP Cloud recover USB Windows installation?

It could have been something as simple as not providing initialization or a drive letter by using a Windows command line.

It is all about how you attempted to upgrade and we really can't read your mind.

my apologize. It was the ssd problem. I've changed to another NVME ssd and it works. Thanks for your help.
