can someone tell me where i can find a 90 watt hp dc in -cable part #79974 singatron. i am having issues with when i plug in and then move the cable it shorts out, so i thought i could find a new cable, on amazon they have 100 watt dc in cable can i use that one? also my machine has the original battery i thought i would replace it while the machine is apart, any thoughts?

Good day,
The cable issue sounds like a nearly shorted pin in the cable.
Since you have the laptop apart, compare it with this one I found on Amazon.com. The S part simply means Singatron. Make a very close comparison before puling the trigger on the purchase.

If you have been noticing significantly shorter mobile use times when on battery, it would not be a bad idea to replace the battery. Do take care of the dc-in cable issue first.

It would seem that there is a system board charging circuit issue.
That is probably the end of the line for your system board, unless you know how to troubleshoot failed components and know how to remove and replace them.
