Product: hp dv6 notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

i have a 2009 hp dv6-2157wm   product number wh200ua#aba using its original windows 7 all components are original except ram. prosser is intel(r) core (TM) i3   2.13gh ram 8 gig 64 bit os win 7

i am looking at trying to bring it to be able to run 1080p it works but struggles and lags losing frames and audio lag i believe all i can do at this time is upgrade the prosser and change from hdd to a sdd hard drive with a fresh windows install what would be the best performing prosser i can put on this mother board and would i have to do a bios update?

Neither the Model number or Product ID match anything on HP's Support page. Please check them and post back here.

 

Your issues sound more video related at first glance, either way you'll likely need a motherboard swap since your cpu and gpu are probably soldered on board.
