hello, I have to change the battery, it doesn't hold anymore but I don't know which model to take and I can't find the manual with the models written. currently the original battery is hstnn-q38c 14.4Vdc 4910 mAh
I would not like to take Chinese batteries that are worth little. Thank you

Where do you think laptop batteries are made? They are all Chinese. If you buy an "original" HP battery it will likely be old stock. The 3rd party vendors make batteries in the same factories as make the "HP" original batteries. On an older laptop amazon Prime batteries with 4.5 stars or more are perfectly good:

The ad says its compatible with one of your part numbers. I am skeptical a dv7-1000 uses the same battery but the listing says it does.
