Hi everyone...
My pc does not start up anmore. When i push the startup-button, i do not see or hear nothing anymore. I see a led lightening up with no full light so to see, on my start-button. The dvd/cd-machine is opening his door when i push te open-button. I can hear some noice , i think from the venilator. That is all.
But no screen-image, nothing. It stays as the pc is out. When i push the start-button long enough to close the pc, the pc is shutting off. That is all i can do.
Before, when the pc did start up normaly, there was a 'biep-sound' or 2.
The last thing i did when the pc was still working, was that i did put in a USB-connector, and the pc went off, the screen was away, nothing anymore.. And untill now i can't start up anymore.
Can it be that there is some problem because of the USB-connection or power( iside the pc) for the USB? So, the pc-usb did make a short-cut and the supply inside is broken?
I did already a cold restart. The power-supply is 19 volts. and did a search on google.
The pc is coming from Bol.com and i did send the pc for rpair, but they did not repair it, because they say the pc is to old. But i do not know what it should cost. They did not tell me.
The pc is from 2020 and the price was then 1.199 euro. Some people ar sying the pc is o old for repairing. But there is data in the pc that i need back if possible.... 😞
I could not find it back in the 'Cloud' or the 'One Drive'
Can it be a power-failure in the pc ? .....i am so sad that my good pc-fellow does not work anymore.
Can someone give maybe a hint? I know it is difficult.
I am from Belgium Bruges and i am searching for a repair-shop from HP. But i do not find...
thanks for reading my problem....

Hi @MrJames,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Power Reset (Hard Reset)
- Remove the laptop from any docking station or port replicator.
- Disconnect all external devices such as USB drives, printers, and external displays.
- Unplug the AC adapter from the laptop.
- Remove the battery (if it is removable).
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual electrical charge from the capacitors that protect the memory.
- Insert the battery (if you removed) and plug the AC adapter back into the laptop, but do not connect any other external devices.
- Press the power button to turn on the laptop.
Check Power Supply
- Ensure that the AC power adapter is functioning correctly. Use a different known working adapter if possible.
- Check if the LED light near the charging port is on when the adapter is connected.
Perform a BIOS Reset
- Turn off the laptop, and then press and hold the Windows + B keys simultaneously.
- While holding those keys, press and hold the Power button for one second, and then release the Power button and the keys.
- The Power LED should blink, and you might hear a series of beeps. If a BIOS recovery starts, follow the on-screen instructions.
Inspect for Loose Internal Components
- If comfortable, check that all internal components (RAM, hard drive, and other connections) are securely connected.
Check for Fault Indications
- Sometimes, the laptop might indicate specific hardware failures using a series of LED blink codes or beep sequences. Refer to your laptop’s manual for specific error codes.
Boot into Safe Mode
- Attempt to boot into Safe Mode by restarting the laptop and pressing the F8 or Shift + F8 key during startup. In some newer HP laptops, this might not work if F8 is not enabled.
External Hardware Test
- Try connecting the laptop to an external monitor to check if there is a display issue with the built-in screen.
I hope this helps.

Hi Kuroi Kenshi, thank you for your email with alot of info what to do with my computer to restart my pc.
But sadely, all the hints did not help.
I did send my computer for repair to "BOL.COM" where i bought this computer.
After 3 weeks i did get an email back that the ompute is/was to old for repairing (2022 ???old???).
The problem is in the "System board" and HP does not have the sparepart (???) anymore, so the technicians did let me know.
Is this correct please? I can't get this sparepart "System board" anymore,
So, i will have my computer back, soon, not repaired.
Now, i did a search on google and i do find still "System boards" for my pc.
My question is twice:
1.do you have still a "System board" for me please? I should change myself.
2.Can i use the "system board" that i can buy , or do i need a kind of so cold "tatto" from HP? or a number or....
Tomorrow, my computer comes back and i like to repair my pc. It is a good pc and "not" repairing is so fatall....
Can you help me please.
ps: can isend my pc maybe to a reparshop from HP?
Thank you for your alreaddy good help.
grts
