HP ENVY - 17m-ce1013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello All.

I just opened up this laptop for the first time.

I took out the stock 12g of ram and replaced it with 32g of Crucial ram.

Put it back together and it recognizes the ram and everything runs fine

EXCEPT

the keyboard surface is decidedly warmer than it has always been and touching the fingerprint reader

BURNS!!!!

Any ideas?

Thank you.

B

Hi @ButchDog,
Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing issues with your HP product wherein the keyboard is hot to touch.

This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may require repair.

I suggest that you contact HP Service Center in your location from this web link
Note: Select your country from the dropdown,  enter the city or postal code, select the product, change the radius, and click on search to locate the nearest HP Service center near your location.

Hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
