HP Hotkey Support is a pre-installed HP software component that enables and manages special function key features on HP devices, such as:

  • Adjusting volume, brightness, and display settings using the keyboard shortcuts.
  • Controlling microphone mute, wireless connectivity, and other dedicated HP hotkeys.
  • Displaying on-screen notifications when hotkeys are pressed.

If you are seeing "HP Hotkey Support" listed in your installed programs, services, or startup applications, it is a legitimate HP application used to support keyboard shortcut functionality on your HP device.
