Welcome to the HP Community --
You might indeed be doomed to be disappointed.
The HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 series specifications do not list the IR camera .
Webcam | HP True Vision 1080p FHD camera with temporal noise reduction and integrated dual array digital microphones Privacy camera shutter door Supported audio software: Beam forming Echo cancellation Noise suppression |
Many systems, HP and other brands, do include the IR camera as a purchase option.
IR camera is not an "every computer" feature.
Check your system Device Manager
If the IR camera is not listed, your computer does not have an IR type camera.
Example - Device Manager - Fingerprint Reader / IR Camera
