Product: HP Laptop 17-by1xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Laptop 17-by1xxx  with 256 GB hard drive. I am running out of space and need to add more hard disk space. What is the best option to upgrade to 500GB to 1 GB? Is there an extra slot or do I have to replace the existing hard drive? I need the additional space to install applications like Visual Studio, MongoDB, etc. (it is not just for storing pictures, etc.)

I meant 500 GB or 1 TB...
