Hello

Can I upgrade the SSD to a larger one on this laptop? It came with only a 256G.

I have attempted to find the full specifications but I have had trouble finding it.

Hi:

Yes, you can install a larger capacity NVMe SSD than the one that came with your notebook.

The Crucial SSD report for the model series indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB.

HP only has the service manual for the original 15-dy0xxx model series, but it should be of help to you for opening up the notebook to install a new SSD.

You're very welcome. 

That may have been true for the original model series,  but the Crucial memory report indicates it will support more than 2 x 8 GB of memory.
