Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i have a HP Notebook 15-ba077sa, product code. X7G64EA

It has 4GB Ram, i want to know what i can upgrade it to?

The information available is contradicting,

For a windows 10 64bit it says it can go up to 128GB,

It says this on the product specs>how to>memory (RAM) or BIOS>upgrading memory>

Confirm the maximum memory supported by your Windows version

but on other posts in this community and online, some have said 8GB RAM Max and some have said 16GB RAM Max?

if i could get genuine confirmation of which, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thankyou in advance!

Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial, UK memory report for your model.

https://uk.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15-ba077sa

You can install 2 x 8 GB of memory in your notebook.

The W10 spec is for PC's where the hardware can take up to 128 GB of memory, which very few can.

The memory limit is based on the version of W10 that one has (Home, Pro).

Physical Memory Limits: Windows 10

The following table specifies the limits on physical memory for Windows 10.

Version                    Limit on X86 Limit on X64
Windows 10 Enterprise4 GB6 TB
Windows 10 Education4 GB2 TB
Windows 10 Pro for Workstations4 GB6 TB
Windows 10 Pro4 GB2 TB
Windows 10 Home4 GB128 GB
