HP Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After this last Windows 10 64bit update my Geforce RTX 2080 card is no longer seen. Windows reverted to generic graphics driver. I cannot install Geforce drivers as the card, gpu, is not seen by the installer.
I reverted back to factory, (fresh install), and all worked well again. Then Windows again updated and I've lost my graphics card yet again.
What can I do to get it back?

Yes. I've restored my Omen to Factory. I've also stopped Windows Update from updating.
HP Support called me last night and informed me that a solution is in the process of being made. And that after the fix is created that they will inform me and provide a link.
Thanks for your response.

I haven't received any other help from HP except that I have to keep reinstalling F'ing Windows over and over. I blocked Windows Updates, but the **bleep** thing just went and updated anyways. I'm right back to it not recognizing the graphics card. The card I spent around $1,000 on for this brick of a laptop.
After reinstalling some of my other software, like ACDSee Photo Studio Pro, for the 3rd time, I was informed that my serial # has been used too many times and that I need to re-purchase the software. So there goes more money I don't have.
I was told on the phone that a fix was in the process, but haven't heard **bleep** since. That was weeks ago and just tonight this thing did it again. I'm about to lose my mind.

I'm very, very, unhappy with the support I've been given. If support is what you would call it.

I got same problem when Windows updated. My Omen RTX2080 not recognized from "device manager".

I could not able to reveal to older driver, I did uninstall all Nevida driver and still same result.

I am not sure what go wrong and the card are had issue from the GPU bios?

Can any one help?

I was able to solve this, not sure if it'll be the same solution for ya'll.

I went into the device manager (hit windows key, and search for "device manager"), then under "System devices", and uninstalled the PCIe Controller (x16).

Then, I hit Action at the top of the Device Manager window, and clicked "Scan for hardware changes". That reinstalled that x16 controller.

I did this because the PCIe Controller device was in an error'd state, and I hoped reinstalling it would fixed it - and it did!

Hope it helps!
