@rootakki14, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Managing High Temperatures on HP OMEN During Gaming!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When playing graphically intense video games on your HP OMEN, a consistently high temperature can indeed be a concern. Here's how to address this issue:

Potential Causes and Solutions

High CPU and GPU Utilization:

  • Performance Mode: Ensure your OMEN is set to Performance Mode in the OMEN Gaming Hub. This mode increases fan speed to help cool the system when CPU and GPU are heavily utilized. Learn more about Performance Mode.

Airflow and Surface:

  • Placement: Ensure the laptop is placed on a hard, flat surface like a table. Avoid soft surfaces, such as beds or carpets, as they can block air vents.
  • Clean Environment: Regularly clean the fan vents using compressed air to clear dust and debris.

Software and Processes:

  • Monitor System Vitals: Use HP Command Center to monitor your system's vitals. Check for any unnecessary applications that might be running in the background and consuming resources.
  • Task Manager: Open Task Manager to identify and stop any processes that might be overloading the CPU or GPU.

Fan and Thermal Control:

  • Fan Mode: Consider switching to "Max Fan Mode" to provide maximum cooling. This will help to maximize the cooling solution. Explore Fan Modes.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
