I'm meaning to buy a laptop and I'm confused between these two options. The asus one is currently 750$ and hp one is 650$ at sale at best buy usa.I'd love to have a laptop with 2 in 1 option but it's not a necessity for me.I want to use it for my academic work,ms office, browsing and maybe Some light video editing and which can last me for 4-5 years.
Both options seem pretty solid to me I've seen tons of reviews for Both and I haven’t noticed any major issues except for display in hp and tjat it doesn't come with a stylus.I Won't be working on anything that requires accurate color so the display isn't that of an issue for me. And I've heard 2 in 1 laptops tend to show fault in displays after some time. Is it true?

Hi @dobebmo1,
Welcome to the HP support community.
Thanks so much for considering HP as one of your options! We appreciate the time you've taken to research and compare. It sounds like you’ve already done a lot of thoughtful analysis based on your needs, and we’d love to help you further.
You're right that both devices have their strengths, and choosing between a traditional laptop and a 2-in-1 depends a lot on personal usage style. While HP displays are designed to be durable and tested for long-term reliability, we completely understand your concern about longevity, especially with moving parts in convertible designs.
