Hello,
I bought a crucial P1 1000GB PCIe NVMe SSD for my hp pavillion 15 ck075nr to upgrade performance form my current 1TB HDD. Here is the link to the SSD:
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/pavilion-15-ck075nr/CT13112054
and link to my original post before buying the SSD:
Upon receiving the SSD, I opened the laptop cover and inserted the SSD in the M.2 slot. When I started windows, from my current HDD, the SSD was not showing up anywhere. I looked for it in the 'This PC', Device Manager, Disk Management. And none of them is showing the SSD. I have not done this type of upgrade before. Am I missing something basic? Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi. Thank you for the reply. I cannot initialize the ssd using diskpart or disk management or easeus software because I cannot see the SSD anywhere. My system shows only the HDD. I cannot see anything that is related to the ssd whether initialized or uninitialized.

UPDATE: Looks like the laptop does not support the SSD. After doing a lot of research it seems that the hp laptops support for SSDs is hit or miss cases and have to try multiple ones unless you get lucky the first time. I am highly disappointed by HP and it is something I will keep in mind the next time I have to buy a laptop which looks like very soon if I can't get my slow HDD fixed. Not being able to upgrade to SSD from HDD is garbage especially when there is the port for it and the manual also says it supports it. Looks like they just don't have an option in the bios.
Also, the have part numbers listed on the manual, and searching the part on their website just shows the part number which is clearly 5-6 times more expensive than other ssds. If they could just name an ssd instead of the product number, life would be so much easier.
