Hi,

Your laptop is the same as mine..just a faster proccessor..You also got an Intel Optane stick install in it..just open the back cover as the manual show and remove the Intel Optane stick..replace it with the Samsung 970 EVO M.2 stick.

Look for my thread in here and follow the instruction I made for the M.2 upgrade..its super easy!

Good luck..

Thanks

I have 2 more question for you

1. Can I install 1TB SAMSUNG 970 PRO M.2 2280 512GB  or 1TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280?

I wasnt sure If it works on my laptop

2. I saw the pic on the other post about upgrading hard drive.Do you remember parts# of your  memory stick??

I am planning to upgrade memory to 16gb and if I know the parts#, i am just going to order the same memory stick and slide it in when i upgrade m.2 ssd

YEs you can...the 1TB is an overkill!!! I bought mine from amazon...I got he 970 EVO M.2...it really fast too!! I just think the PRO is an Overkill...My computer now is almost instantly boot up...its really freaking fast!!!

I wasnt sure If it works on my laptop

I didnt upgrade my RAMs...it was alreally installed with 12GB...so far so good..really fast no hiccup or anything..and I run Fusion 360 and PS Pro too...NO Issues at all..I think the system RAM is a Sumsung one too, but you can get any ram that is 8GB  Samsung 2400MHz (https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PC4-19200-2400MHz-SODIMM-memory/dp/B06Y1RZW5P/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=...)

This one should work for you or any one that has the same specs above will work too..

good luck

I got my samsung m.2 ssd. When i take hp octane memory out and install m.2 ssd, the screen shows booable device not found..... what can do to fix this problem?? WHen i chage the octane memory stick back on , it works find.......

Did you migrate the original drive on to the NVME stick? Once you do that and change the setting in the BIOS so it will recognize the new NVME stick instead of the Intel Optane drive. You also need to remove or disable the SATA drive from booting at the same time as the NVME drive...

Also there should be an empty PCIe slot on your laptop..its the same as mine..its located just above the SATA drive..there an empty slot there..plug the NVME into that slot instead of the Intel Optane slot...

According to the menual, I disable octane memory using intel rapid storage tech software and disable the octane memory  then take out optane memory  from the slot. When i reboot, it says theres no boot drive.......

somehow i got to srart up page....and it wont recognize the new m.2 ssd.

Also when I put octane memory back on, it wont recognize the memory neighter. My laptop use intel rapid storage tech software to able/disable the octane memory and the software give message like" your system is repoting one or more events, and data may be at risk. ...

PCIE ssD ON CONTROLLER 3 PORT 0: OFFLINE

Acceleration using ssd:disable.( I had to do that to remove octane memory)

What can i do? DO i need to change something in bios??

WHAT CAN I DO ?? Do i need to change something in bios set up??
